Wales Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects everyone involved with our school to share this commitment. We strive to ensure that consistent and effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school.
Wales Primary School has policies and procedures in place to deal effectively with child protection and safeguarding issues together with recording and monitoring processes. Both co-headteachers are Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL): Mrs Ruth Sampson and Mrs Anna McDonald. In addition, Mrs Charlotte Lax and Mrs Katherine Askey (assistant headteachers) are both Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads. Our Safeguarding Governor is Mr Paul Fletcher.
If you have any serious concerns about your child or any other student at Wales Primary School, please do not hesitate to contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead or member of the safeguarding team who will be able to provide you with the best advice and help using the appropriate degree of confidentiality.
