Reading for Pleasure
Welcome to our 'Reading for Pleasure' page.
Here is where I would love to share all of the books you LOVE! These can be books you like to read by yourself in a quiet place or books you read with you siblings, maybe your favourite books that your parents read to you or ones which make you laugh or maybe even cry! In the coming weeks, there will be challenges to be found on here all themed around the love of reading so keep an eye on this space!
In the meantime, I have included a book review sheet so that you can write book reviews for eachother. This will also help others choose a new book. If you love it; others may love it too. Reading a good book is a brilliant way to escape what is going on around you and feel like you are absorbed sometimes into a whole new world. Reading a great book can really open up your emotions and put you in a great mood for the rest of the day!
Happy Reading!

What is 'Reading for Pleasure'?
Reading for pleasure opens up new worlds for children. It gives them the opportunity to use their imagination to explore new ideas, visit new places and meet new characters.
Reading for pleasure also improves children’s well-being and empathy. It helps them to understand their own identity, and gives them an insight into the world and the views of others. Research shows that reading for pleasure can be directly linked to children’s success throughout their time at school and even into adulthood.
