Year 4/5 what can I say? Your attitude to learning has been amazing and you all have such fantastic personalities! Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to teach you for the whole year this school year but I will treasure the memories that we made in the first few terms together. I am so proud of all the children that have continued to complete work at home during lockdown and I have loved receiving emails and pictures of your work each week as well as other academic achievements (martials arts belts being awarded, achieving music gradings and developing further with gymnastics and horse-riding) as well as seeing your new pets! A big thank you to the children who have joined me on the Zoom calls over the past few weeks it has been great to see you and do our virtual high fives!

I hope that you and your families have a fantastic Summer holiday and I will definitely be popping into your class next year to say a big hello! Take care and stay safe.

Last half term we celebrated VE Day. The VE in VE Day stands for Victory in Europe. It was the public holiday of 8th May 1945 to mark the defeat of Germany by the Allied forces in World War 2. More than 1 million people celebrated in the streets of cities, towns and villages in the UK. This year is the 75th anniversary of VE day. It was brilliant to see so many children completing some of the VE day challenges that were set and having lots of fun celebrating.

Have a look in the VE day gallery below to see some excellent VE day work completed by Bessie-Mae, Cayetano and Thomas. Here is a little sample: yes
